Group schedule
Play Scouts meets each Monday-Thursday from 9am to 2:30pm. The program runs from September through June, but your child can start any time throughout the year. A detailed school year calendar will be shared at sign up, as well. If you have questions about schedule flexibility, please reach out!​
Eligibility
This group is designed for children ages 3 - 5, or who will be entering Kindergarten in the next few school years. Additionally, children must be able to confidently use the bathroom by themselves and be comfortable with animals on the premises.
Is it childcare?
Although children attend Play Scouts on their own, this group is not intended as childcare/daycare. Our time spent together is academic-driven and led through child engagement, so we pack a ton of fun into our daily sessions. Please don't hesitate to reach out with questions about the structure of the program!
All levels and abilities​
All children grow and learn at their own perfect pace. Small group size ensures an individualized experience for every type of learner, regardless of background or skill level when they start. A great feature of playful learning is the way it brings out every child's inner superhero, as said by the Lego Foundation!
Parent communication
You are your child's first and best teacher, and a strong home-school connection creates a confident, excited learner. Each week, caregivers will receive an outline of our learning goals, activity highlights, reminders, and extension ideas that you can do with your child at home. This helps reinforce new knowledge and skills, and connects learning to the real world.
Pricing
Play Scouts offers a weekly and monthly rate. Additionally, a one-time registration fee helps cover supplies your child will keep at school and other special classroom materials/snacks. If you have questions about cost, please reach out!
